Ali Barber : by Richard Nicholson
Following on from my rude boy post a while ago attempting to surface a trend that has been peeking out throughout the beginning of 2011, I found this little beauty. Richard Nicholson encapsulates the East London Bengali style through one of the most popular barber shops in Bethnal Green.
Love this and really want some shaved lines in my brow now.

Noticed on the Satorialist a while ago, a girl wearing a sick hand painted surrealist leather bike jacket inspired by Guernica, and then this photo appeared in my inspiration folder. All hand drawn and illustrated by Claire Barrow, from ‘The Milk of Danzig,’ the jackets are pretty amazing. You can buy recent jackets here, or get her to customize one you’ve already got. The space puffer jacket is total amazingness.

Sorcha O’Raghallaigh happened to appear in the fashion limelight soon after her recent graduation at Central Saint Martins, flourishing quickly into the realms of Gagavision in her most recent video ‘Born This Way.’
Her work is appealingly delicate, feminine but with hidden undertones of a darkness as pictured above under a cross and also wearing a skeleton wedding dress from what I can see in her lookbook. Very interesting look from a young designer.
Sorcha’s work was on display today at the Ella Dror press exhibition today where she showcased her A/W 2011 collection alongside the likes of Alex Noble, Fred Butler and Craig Lawrence.

DUDLEY O’SHAUGHNESSY, training for the 2012 Olympics in the Boxing ring and also male model, first caught my eye at the 2010 RCA fashion graduate show whilst on the catwalk.
With overwhelming features, he was scouted at Old St station in an over-sized Nike tracksuit two years ago and since then it seems his career has been accelerating, walking at recent shows such as Fred Perry and Stone Island.

So it’s been a while since I’ve been on the blog-bandwagon and I have been saving them up especially. A few weeks ago, my dear friend and fashion fabricator gave me the job of styling her photo-shoot of her most recent work ‘Future Amulets.’ Isabel Pradilla has created some weird and wonderful objects including jewellery, wigs and bags. Of course not of the conventional variety.
We set the scene in Dalston on a lovely sunny day with friends and models Djo and Pia. If you would like to see more of Isabels work please come and visit the MA Textile Futures exhibition, Central Saint Martins June 17th- 20th.

LAKE & LIBERTY; fairly new to the East London Fashion scene have just arrived into the spring with some fresh animal inspired bondage-wear. As I asked Liberty, product designer for Native Design, and bondage lover/maker at the weekends about the new wearables, she replied ‘It’s basically an outfit I made for Halloween last year, I wanted to be a bondage rat.’
Lake and Liberty first made their mark on Gaga when she was spotted wearing the victorian-esque leather collar. Keep them coming you two… The chastity belt is obvs my favourite. This may be the first purchase of the summer. <3
